Grade Promotion Requirements

The student will have mastered the requirements of grade 8 as specified in the Promotion Policy, Grades 1-8. 

The student will have earned at least 6 credits, including English 1 or its equivalent and Algebra 1 or its equivalent. 

The student will have earned at least 12 credits, including English 1 and 2 or their equivalent, 2 credits of mathematics, 1 credit of science, and 1 credit of Social Studies. 

The student will have earned at least 18 credits, including English 1, 2, and 3 of their equivalent, 3 credits of mathematics, 1 credit of U.S. History, 1 credit of social studies, 2 credits of science, and 1 credit of physical education.
